Couples seeking cozy charm
The decor during the Christmas season was just lovely, really added to the atmosphere, ya know? And the breakfast? Pristine coffee and attentive staff that had us feeling like royalty, not just another guest.
It wasn't exactly bargain basement prices but still pretty reasonable, I guess.

The breakfast had lots of selection, the food was savoury. Pleasant and accommodating staff, offered us wake up calls and ironing. It had central location close to Lacy's Caves.
Facilities were really good, however Wi-Fi was very poor.

The staff were very friendly, very helpfull and the general atmosphere was relaxed. The fact that the hotel is situated within the town meant it was very handy for local shops, restaurants and pubs.
The room we stayed in was a standard double but this was very cramped no good for people who dont like confined spaces, there wasnt a lift to the top floor so after a day out walking had to walk up several flights of sloped stairs !!!!!!

The george was such a charming place with lovely historic features. I loved the cozy corners to enjoy a drink. The breakfast was amazing! My beautiful double room was huge with beautiful feature windows and high ceilings. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfy. The staff were super friendly.

We loved the old fashioned friendly service mixed with modern efficiency. The atmosphere is unquantifiable but is warm, rich and welcoming.

exploring parks and landmarks made easy from this hotel
I found it so convenient to stroll to nearby Eamont Bridge just a little over a kilometer away and admire the historic charm. Single travelers, feel at home. The shower screen could use a bit of cleaning.

I enjoyed the charm and comfort of the hotel. Have been staying in Penrith for the past 30 years in a bed and breakfast and thought it about time I had a change as my husband died 7 years ago.No regrets.
